Really enjoying Moments in the @WakingUp app from Sam Harris. I have it set to 1-3 times a day, & regardless of when it pops up, as soon as I see the notification I listen to the 1-min. meditation. Significant impact on the rest of the day 😊

@jhull this is one of my favourite features. Really enjoying the moments too. A way to reset your thought process.

@jhull Is the 1min "moment" self-contained? As in, does the meditation last 1 minute? I was wary of activating this feature, more or less for the same reason I am wary of adding any kind of attention-grabbing notifications to my day. On the other hand, Sam Harris' meditations have been an invaluable addition to my practice. (Great seeing other WakingUp users in the wild as well! @vincent)

@jhull @giov @vincent I really like this feature too, including the fact that they disappear if you don’t catch the notification. I miss a few, if I’m busy when they show up, but I think that’s part of the point

@mroutley oh absolutely the best part of it. You don’t have an Inbox full of missed notifications.

@giov the interruptions seem counter-intuitive, but are a fantastic way to break your mind out of the constant loop of unconscious thinking and storytelling. I’m always annoyed when it pops up, but if I take the opportunity to listen, I’m pleasantly surprised with the results
