No one else I know is watching The Boys and I really want to discuss Homelander but no one will get it.

@macgenie He is THE WORST, amirite?
How did he survive the first season??
@jeffmueller At the beginning, I thought he would be the honest “supe” in contrast to The Deep and A-Train. Email me at jean@micro.blog so we can discuss in depth without spoiling our friends here.
@jeffmueller OMG, such a great series, so many chuckles, so many OMG moments, such an interesting take on the whole super hero genre!
@macgenie @jeffmueller hahah I think I know the scene you’re referring too, it was quite an eye opener!
@jeffmueller Have you read the comic?
Quite some differences. Initially I struggled with some of the changes, but then I just tried to see it as something different.
It became an entertaining show.
@matpacker Yeah, that was a total OMG moment. I find myself laughing at this show and then feeling bad for laughing. Is that normal? It's not as clear as Ash vs. Evil Dead where you know you're supposed to laugh at the gory stuff.
@Cassinato Agreed, especially RE Marvel. I've been wanting something grittier lately (like The Dark Knight). This fills that void. Can't wait to see the new Joker movie, too.
@furstenberg I have not, but I'm planning to. Another friend said the comics were even crazier, so now I definitely want to read them. But yeah, with every adaptation, there's going to be change. At least this doesn't sound like Walking Dead-levels of change, because ugh.
