I’ve longed for pages like this on Apple Music, where you can see the output of a record label. Trusting the curation of a particular label has been one of the best ways to find new music since forever.

@frostedechoes I’ve discovered a lot of interesting music because I signed up for a newsletter from Analog Africa. I don’t know what it’s like on Apple Music, but on Spotify they’ve got a playlist with their label’s entire catalog now. I would love to see label curation on both.

@frostedechoes ooh, that’s a great development. I was just thinking today about how certain labels were such an impact on me (solid state, ad noiseam, wax trax)

@odd After my volunteer stint in Ghana, highlife music always makes me happy.

@odd Thank you! Plenty of new things to listen to, I think I might become a fan. Was not aware of them.

@maique Since they released Dur Dur Band of Somalia, I’ve probably listened to it hundreds of times. 🇸🇴 Great music! And I also especially like Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou from Benin 🇧🇯 🎵 @jean

@odd Thanks! Reading their “Story” page makes me want to listen to the whole catalog. Now to find time to do it 😊

@odd I like the way Apple does it. At least in the screenshot, it looks a lot like Bandcamp. I can’t actually find the pages in the app, though!

@toddgrotenhuis For me, it was Sub Pop, K Records, Matador, Merge and Teenbeat. Now, it would be labels like Captured Tracks.
