Due to the doctor-imposed alcohol ban, I can’t tell you the last beer I had, especially under Covid. (Maybe our trip to PA in March?)
But dammit, I turned 50 yesterday and I’m having a Temptress.

retrophisch.micro.blog@retrophisch 50 is great! Spoiler alert: 60 is not bad. I keep forgetting that I’m this old. 🎂
@macgenie Will file for reference when I get there. 🙂
Honestly, it’s a weird feeling to know intellectually one’s age, but still be disbelieving of it. I don’t feel 50 in my head, though my body certainly disagrees.
@retrophisch Welcome to being that kind of age. 😀 Can't tell you just how many times I’ve done the sums: current year - birth year to confirm I am actually this age.
@retrophisch I'm right there with @Miraz and @macgenie. There's a certain irrefutable mathematical accuracy to saying that your age is the current year minus your birth year, but age is more than that. If you feel young, go with it. (And if you want a beer, have a beer.)
@retrophisch I have said this to my wife (who is 8 years younger than I am and hasn’t started to feel this yet) so much over the last couple of months. I don’t think like I’m almost 48, but my left hip and right foot sure scream it every time I get up. I’m like an inverted pendulum for the first several steps. 🤣
