@JohnPhilpin You're not wrong! It seems relatively simple on the surface but once I started getting to metadata, sync, all the plugins available, it became really apparent how complicated it could get 🤯

@jayeless As @johnphilpin says, Obsidian does have a steep learning curve. But the coolness of having plain text files stored on your harddrive is awesome. I think the new version of macOS with Quick Note will mean that for initial research and note taking Notes will likely continue to play a role for me, but I can see that for mid-long term storage Obsidian will be the home for many notes, for me.

@desparoz There are just too many good notes apps, haha! But yes, the storage being plain text (markdown) files is very appealing to me.
