@zmh I've also been using Firefox again for maybe 1 or 2 years. Like you, it used to be my first choice. Then I switched to Chrome. Now I'm back to Firefox and don't regret it. The sync between iPhone and PC is awesome and I also feel mostly safe using it on the web.

@dominikhoecht Brave? Best of both worlds assuming you ignore their "web3" stuff (easily done via their prefs).

@zmh interesting. I've been using Brave for, well, forever at this point and never get bugged about their "web3" stuff as it can all be turned off. which part couldn't you turn off?

@zmh btw...your website is gorgeous! are you hosting on micro.blog or elsewhere?

@jasonekratz I am not particularly interested in switching at the moment. I always think to myself that you are never 100% safe when you are on the Internet. Firefox does most of the right things for me already. The rest is done by virus scanners, VPN,...

@dominikhoecht exactly! yeah the sync has been surprisingly useful when on the go. also i feel like there are fewer firefox-specific rendering bugs now?

@jasonekratz no you're right, everything could be turned off — mainly went down a rabbit hole trying to get vertical tabs and then realized i was scaffolding so much on top of brave instead of trying something else. still open it occasionally though!

@jasonekratz and thank you! no that's all custom built myself, need to write a colophon soon on the various services powering health data etc.

@zmh ah gotcha. Vivaldi also a good choice for those that like to tinker a lot. I generally use Brave but once in awhile switch over to FF just to change things up.

@zmh that would be interesting to read! but yeah the site is absolutely gorgeous. Wish I was that good at the front-end stuff (from coding chops to the design aspects).

@dominikhoecht oh sorry for the poor language..wasn't suggesting a switch. Was really a question of "have you tried it". You mentioned Chrome and "safe on the web" ;) Brave is an excellent Chromium-based browser so was curious.
