Finally got round to setting up pi-hole. Less than a day in and I’m fascinated by the data, not just the amount blocked (one-eighth!), but also what’s making those calls. Does my TV really need to call home every few minutes?
@ronguest Well worth it. Not sure typical we are but it’s troubling that an eighth of our traffic appears to be either tracking us or trying to sell to us.
The filter is seamless though. No ads, and none of the ‘you appear to be using an ad blocker’ pop-ups.
@jamescousins I had time to get it going today so I've pointed my iPad at it so I can test for any unexpected consequence. So far so good.
