Having 1Password automatically put a OTP in my clipboard is worth whatever security tradeoffs I’m making so I can have that feature
@jack In my experience, Yubkey is even more convenient, if you're on a computer and can leave a Yubikey Nano in all the time. If only more services supported Yubikey…
@sharding I do have a Yubikey, but I've gone back to Safari for my regular browsing and it doesn't yet support it. Sigh. Someday!
@jack Ugh, yeah, I forgot about that. I too prefer Safari, but it seems like lately I'm defaulting to Chrome more because I run into things that don't work in Safari 😞
@jack I've been thinking more about this than any individual should, and I think it makes stuff more secure, not less.
If it gets more people(and I believe it does) to use 2FA/OTP, it makes more people more secure.
Just because someone has access to your Fastmail password, does not mean that they have access to your master password.
