@paulrobertlloyd 2021 was our first year to stop doing cards. If there is a way to do that in a sustainable way, then we'll change to that this year. We have bought a real tree once since we've been together and immediately regretted it... I mean, it was sort-of nice but I felt the same way I had when visiting the zoo; like a parody of how things should be, a destructive version of life rather than life itself.

Living much closer to the countryside, even for just a few months, has made it much easier for us to see the many ways in which we can make small changes for the better.

@issimonwoods I stopped sending Christmas cards years ago, but that’s because I’m a grinch! I did buy a few useful presents for my nieces, but a long break from work and time with my family was a perfectly fine gift for me.
