@dominikhoecht that’s right. It’s the opposite of cheap. I wouldn’t and couldn’t afford it privately as well, I’m lucky it’s a business expense
@hutaffe nice catch 😄 I was practicing aikido for a couple of years a long time ago, but stopped. The philosophy never left. I keep it as a gentle reminder.
@muhh cool! I also practiced it for several years. I was on my way to the black belt, but then I moved to where I live now and unfortunately there are no good options for me here. I still think about it though 😊 I really loved it. But I never came around to read that book 😉
@hutaffe My advice: try to find a way to start again. I practiced Ju-Jutsu Kai when I went to university, then kids etc "got in the way" but some 20 years later I started again.
@hutaffe I haven't gotten that far, but was in my way as well. Then life came with lots of different things… insert more excuses here… There is a dojo not too far away, but I would need to take the car to get there. Which annoys me.
I still look up their website every couple of months. @jemostrom is probably right :)
@muhh of course i am 😜 I've been considering starting to train for a second degree but life keep putting up obstacles ☹️
@muhh same here... I‘d spend more time in the car then in training. But I also look up their schedule every now and then 😉
@martinfeld It's the quiet version actually, so I like it very much since it's a nice change to my rather loud Keychron K2
@odd The very nice thing about Aikido is that it's supposed to be a sport that requires any fitness at all to start. we had all levels of fitness in our dojo.
Just pushing you gently to try it out :)
@odd @muhh yeah... physical fitness is no real blocker to get started. That's the beauty, „by design“. We had an 80 year old woman in our dojo back when I practiced, she couldn't bend her joints like the 20 year olds of course, but she practiced just like everyone else. People adjust to the capabilities of their training partner. It's not a competition, more like a working and helping to learn together.
@muhh That sounds great. Does the loudness of your other keyboard bother you or is it only problematic in an office setting with others?
@martinfeld I usually work in a very small shared office and my klicky keyboard is a bit disturbing for my officemate. I actually like some klickedyklick most of the time :)
@muhh If you're otherwise a fan of the klickedyklick, then that's very considerate of you!
