It has seemed, for quite some time, that it is rather his opponents who do not understand him.
@jamesdasher Trump got about 27% of the eligible voters. Clinton had millions more votes. Trump may will get elected again but it won’t be because of his sophisticated understand of the country he “leads.”
@hooper your disdain for the person is understandable, but the data don’t support your analysis. Clinton had a SMALLER vote majority nationally than her margin of victory in California. In other words, she lost the popular vote without California. Trump was more popular almost everywhere else.

@hooper well, he’s way better than his opponents at our reality TV culture. Incredibly cunning, and ruthlessly unsympathetic. But is recognizing that the same as admiring it?
