Being 41 now definitely means icecream for breakfast. And cake of course. Today’s choice - a Lammington (sponge soaked in Malibu with raspberry filling covered in chocolate and coconut. 🥳 And a Black Forest gateau cake which was so strong with espresso I almost passed out. 🤣

@dominikhoecht I totally get you. I find that there’s quite a lot of trance within techno, just not the typical kind. With Sara, there’s a lot of ethereal beats sprinkled through. They build and shift and keep me interested. But I like the darkness too. And even the monotonous beat is always changing. It’s fascinating because techno to me was a no go genre but now I love it. Maybe it’s the driving nature of it. It’s a more serious sound to me. Trance doesn’t hold me for long enough anymore. It’s not deep and explorative enough. Though some of Alex MORPH’s live sets are pretty epic when they get going. 😃

@crossingthethreshold Thanks! Yeah, it gets less important by the year, except as a way to reflect on the year that has just passed. I find it a great reminder to the arbitrary new years.
