Goldman-Sachs declined me for an Apple Card- mid 700 credit score, good debt to credit ratio, likely because I have my credit reports locked. Other institutions contact me to do a temp unlock. GS just declined. Don’t want it now. Path to Apple Card

@hawaiiboy That’s weird that they wouldn’t warn you that your credit is locked. Or they’ve no way of knowing. I think we had something similar happen with Rocket Mortgage.

@hawaiiboy I have a freeze on all my credit agency account. Forgot about them when I applied for the Apple Card. I was denied but the process of applying informed me of the agency that was going to be used and that it was frozen. I did a temporary unfreeze for 24hours. Immediately retried the application and was approved. This was an amazingly slick and painless process compared to a Chase card I also tried to apply for recently. I gave up on Chase due to having to call, wait on hold, unfreeze multiple agencies and Chase never checking credit in 24 hours.

@mcg I applied when the card was new, they were having issues. I’ll wait till we’re ready to buy a Mac and try again. Thanks
