@dave @jarrod There’s not really a standard yet for feed management and tracking post unread state. Everyone rolls their own thing, so I based most of this API off Feedbin. Microsub API is probably the closest fit. I’d like to support that later.

@dave I hope so! The goal here is to make the solution as interop as possible with an RSS-y way of thinking, which is to provide the tools to rendering surfaces to do what they want but maybe also some information to get a richer-to-the-intended-mode rendering process if they want it.

Jottit sites now have a blogroll sidebar showing each site’s latest post and how long ago it was published. Ordered by most recently updated, so active blogs rise to the top. Inspired by @dave ’s blogroll. Also exposed as OPML for feed readers.

@dave In my experience there is a bit of a lag when posting from Drummer to micro.blog. I don’t know whether that is because of the server my blog is on or something happening in general. @manton

Hey @dave I’m building Jottit (jottit.pub), a simple blogging platform, and I’m about to add a WYSIWYG editor that stores markdown. A lot like the Wordland editor. I’m curious how you built it? ProseMirror-based or something custom? Planning to open-source mine as a headless editor.

@dave I try to avoid using the word “podcast” unless the thing is actually based on feeds. Spotify- or Apple-exclusive shows aren’t podcasts. This feels like a losing battle but I’m sticking with it.

@dave BTW - just added my MB mentions to Feedland - and see exactly the problem with the Feedname - if you added 5 of them (why aside) .. pretty quickly you will lose the context of the ‘WHO’ - hopefully @manton can make the change - of course what would be really cool is that in Feedland I could get to change name - already can do that in Reeder and NetNewsWire?
