Up early for a Saturday. Cold outside but it’s going to get colder next week, maybe even with snow. But this is Austin, so we’ll see. Coffee at Thunderbird this morning and getting ready to post Core Int.

@manton We’ve just moved from California to Virginia and I haven’t been able to find a good coffee shop.

And I’m now two CoreInt episodes behind! 😳

@fahrni My go-to when traveling is Foursquare. Not sure it's as popular as it used to be, but it's really good for finding coffee shops. And thanks for listening!

@fahrni where are you in Virginia, I have a niece in the Richmond area who’s a coffee drinker, she might know good places I could ask

@manton yeah, foursquare seems to be dying and it makes me sad, I like it as a tracking tool. It is less good as a discovery tool these days.

@klandwehr We’re in Charlottesville. I’d love recommendations. Thank you!

@kitt Foursquare probably shouldn't have spun off Swarm into its own product. Now that we have location check-in support in the Micro.blog API, I'd like to see some IndieWeb alternatives.

@kitt Is it? It is one of those independent location services that provides an alternative to Google and Facebook, which is good. I don't think that it is dying - it is just quiet.
