@eli An office mate makes things out of glass for fun so I had him make me some glass-blown straws. I have not made a habit out of carrying one with me, though, but that is the intention. I hate the idea of plastic straws (and water bottles for that matter.)

@eli I adore my Klean Kanteen for that reason.

A friend once dedicated a month to not producing any trash (he brought hiking utensils and bowls everywhere). Communicating that to coffee shop staff, etc was (un)surpringly hard.
