One of my favourite reads in the morning has been my very own site. Using the ’On this day’ plugin (which I’ve renamed to ‘Previously’), I get a hit of nostalgia and remember where I was, last year or 5 years ago. One of the many reasons to keep writing daily. For my future self.
@kaa I totally agree! I have an iOS shortcut that I run every morning that shows me photos in my library taken on this day in previous years and then opens the “On This Day“ page on my blog. I look forward to running it every day.
@kaa I've never shared a shortcut before so hopefully this works. It was based on a shortcut originally from Federico Viticci I think and doesn't have any comments to explain what's going on, but hopefully it's relatively self-explanatory: www.icloud.com/shortcuts...
@kaa Oh, and I should probably add that I am running the iOS 13 beta and had to tweak this shortcut a little to make it work correctly on the beta. Not sure if that matters, but just FYI.
@chrispederick yeah will need the beta for that to work - but that’s cool. Favourited until I have the Beta running - I usually wait till mid August before I jump into that, figure a month before the official release is good enough.

@chrispederick That’s neat! (Especially since most of my photos never make it out of my library….) Thanks for sharing it and the MacStories library link 👍 (I’m really hoping iOS 13 has better Shortcuts management than “here are all of them you have”, because I am starting to get lost in the few I have accumulated 😜)
