@jack I currently use a Scratch note area in Simplenote for the very same thing. I know I've said/written this many times - but I wish I had an app that was _exactly_ what Simplenote is except it saved markdown files.

BBEdit 14.0’s new Notes feature looks interesting. Almost seems like it could become a spin-off app of its own.
