@kevinmarks I like the idea, but I have one note: the article suggests that native apps are connected only to silos, which is not necessarily true.

I can share from my native app to MarsEdit or Micro.blog native apps, for instance, and then whatever I shared ends up on the open web.

(This is not to knock the idea, just to point out that native apps aren’t by definition silo-bound.)
