@cdevroe I agree. I think MS has this on their list, if the time becomes right: put out an Android phone with all the MS lancher, apps etc. preinstalled by default. Let Google shoulder all the expense of development for Android, paying them royalties is chump-change compared to that.

However, long term, if Google feels threatened they will find a way to freeze MS out, by liscensing restrictions on Android, which is open source in name only.

@bradenslen One seemingly little known fact is that Microsoft is one of the largest revenue benefactors from Android and not Google.
