@nielsk everyone has a story to tell! Think of it like an interview. What would you want to know about someone else? Did you read an interview recently? Listen to an interview type of podcast? Interview yourself.

@nielsk I’m that way, too. Maybe write some nonfiction for a while. I wrote a productivity guide that I got really into after having no idea what stories I should write.

@nielsk I find that my photos are a great source of ideas. They all have a story attached to them.

@nielsk I second the idea for writing prompts. Photographs, opening sentence, story title, story premise... the Internet is full of prompt generators! Personally, I like Chuck Wendig's flash fiction challenge series on his blog; the comments section on those posts have even more prompts.

@vega I once started a thing called Pfiction where people were supposed to post a photo and a short fiction piece based on it. Pfiction meant picofiction and picture fiction. Didn’t have the juice to do much with it.
