Jesus began his public ministry with the phrase, ''the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel'' (Mark1:15). From that moment on, God's Kingdom in heaven was being built on earth in the form of the Catholic Church. The story begins with Jesus, but it does not end there. After Jesus' death on the cross, His Apostles continued the work of preaching the Gospel to the ends of the earth. The foundation we stand on is built on Christ and is firm - and for 2,000 years that kingdom has not moved even when the world shook.
