For years, the cron.weekly free newsletter was the best way to stay in touch with Linux related news around the web. The geeky stuff, not product promotion.

@prologic Na. Pub is for writing :) You subscribe via MicroSub and yes you could technically do that. However
1.) is the feed of ma.ttias.be/cronweekl... only an excerpt forcing you to open the source anyway so meh on this and
2.) if you add the Feed to your microblog account it will display in your timeline as you.
I don't think micro.log offers private feed subscriptions that only you will see later. CC @manton ?
You can run your own MicroSub server for this, of course. I use Yarn but I hear good things about Aperture too: indieweb.org/Microsub
@bekopharm @prologic Right, you can follow IndieWeb-friendly blogs by entering their domain name in Discover → search, but there's no way to add specific feeds unless it's the default feed for that domain name.
@manton May be worth a thought. My Yarn is packed nowadays and many feeds are added by rss-bridge or granary.io or alikes :D
@bekopharm Oh, I've thought about it. 🙂 Actually the first prototype of Micro.blog allowed it. I wanted to simplify things around usernames because I think it's easier and helps distinguish Micro.blog from a traditional feed reader. But we'll see!
