I enjoy reading books and essays in the humour genre the most. However, I find it extremely difficult to consistently find something funny that excites me. I look at the Goodreads recommendations for humour and all are memoir types. Or they were written a long time back. Is this genre j... amitgawande.com

@cm Thank you Chad. It sounds fun, have already purchased and added to my list. Unfortunately, couldn't find the audiobook book version. Will let you know which section I belong to - I usually enjoy the silky, geeky humour 🙂

@cm Btw, what I find odd is that there aren't many recommendations for books in humour genre. It never works. I am not sure why. May be not many people enjoy this genre - which in itself is surprising given the popularity of comedy TV shows.

@cm David Sedaris is funny - I have read Me Talk Pretty One Day. But yeah, he is an essayist. And there's no dearth of funny essay collections or memoir - a lot from standup comics. Hardly anything though that's pure funny fiction. Sigh!

@amit David Sedaris has written a bunch of fictional humor. I highly recommend "Barrel Fever", his first book. It's hilarious and fictional. Really funny stuff. Mostly short stories and vignettes.
