@numericcitizen A few weekends ago, I spent a morning customizing the look of a Buttondown newsletter. It’s definitely more customizable than Substack, but I concluded that my newsletter looked better with one of the built-in Substack themes than anything I could put together with CSS, so I stayed put, at least for now.

@artkavanagh Buttondown customization features were pretty much left out from my article as I had to first pass the “low friction” editing gate which didn’t happen for me. Customization would have been the second gate.
