@andrewmglaser I would love to have more artists on Micro.blog! Maybe there's a way to make our video hosting appealing to animators? More blog themes for portfolios? Happy to hear ideas for how to get the word out.

@andrewmglaser I think the portfolio themes is the right step, I also think seamless cross posting is the bridge to winning over artists. Also owning the platform. I’m going to survey the platforms these artists are using for portfolios; figure out the appeal. My guess, ease of use. In my experience artists don’t like fiddling with technology.

@manton More portfolio-friendly themes would be a huge benefit. I'm loving my experience here but still have to create my own external website to handle showing anything as a portfolio grid.

@manton Yes, exactly. (I'm excited somebody has looked at those pages besides myself.😊) Having a finite page to showcase a limited collection of images allows visitors to know what kind of work to expect. I know that's different from a more text-centric blogging crowd so it's also understandable if providing people with portfolios just isn't a focus for Micro.blog.
