Anticipation of any sort is the biggest sleep killer. Your mind wanders around, stitching up every permutation and combination of what’s to happen. I have realised the only thing that puts my mind to rest in this state is Music. 🎶

@amit When this happens to me, I make sure the next day I get in a HARD workout. My brain doesn’t fire off in all directions when I’ve exhausted the body. I’ve lost weight... sure... but the psychological benefits far outweigh the physical.
@amit I hear ya. For me, writing it down (privately) helps even if it is a short summary. Once your thoughts are words on paper/screen, they don't seem as ominous.
@paulcraig901 Yes, physical exhaustion does help to put the body to sleep. However, I wake up once and that’s the end of sleep for that day. Though, haven’t tried a hard workout.
@pratik Ah. Yes, may be I need to try that. I have stopped writing privately for quite some time now - ever since I stopped Day One subscription. I think I need to pick that up. What do you use - a good old pen/diary or some app?
