Posts created in the micro.blog iOS and MacOS apps create entries on my WordPress blog that have comments disabled, and I can’t work out why. Is this a design decision? Is there any way to change it so that comments are enabled?

@manton Sorry to trouble you with this one but is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

@adoran2 Unfortunately this appears to be a WordPress bug. I want to add a setting to override it. In the meantime, if you're comfortable tweaking WordPress, @colinwalker wrote a script to fix this.

@manton Thanks so much for the response. It doesn't impact replies on micro.blog being logged as comments on Wordpress, just comments from elsewhere. I’ll take a look at the script.

@colinwalker I'm just revisiting this now. Sorry for the basic question, but how do you add this into Wordpress? Do you just pop the php file in place and you're up and running, or is there more to it?

@adoran2 Just upload the PHP file to your WordPress plugins directory then enable it via the Installed Plugins page in wp-admin as normal.
