I keep wanting to find a fresh breakfast soup. Tomato soup has filled that role until I find one.

Think smoothie but warm.

Like, I don’t know.

@Sylari I go with Butternut Squash soup. Sometimes I make it, but I also buy it so I always have it on hand if the morning calls for soup.

@jean With cranberries as a recommended compliment, this soup has me wanting to try it. Looks like the product will make that a quick choice I can try next shopping. Thank you!

@jean Speaking of cool days. I bought Pacific Foods portion and had a taste this morning. It hits the spot nicely between sweet and savory. I tried crumbled saltine crackers while giving it a go. Just right. Thank you for your suggestion putting me on the path to try homemade.

@Sylari I just bought a carton yesterday to bring to the coast. I should just keep one on hand. I’ve sautéed chicken sausage in little slices to go with it, and also have those crispy fried onions which make a satisfying garnish. I’ve been trying to have foods at home that hit the spot so I’m not tempted to make questionable choices on my way home. 🍟

@jean In case you care to play in the kitchen, or just really want to take crispy fried onions to the most extreme level possible, you could try this. I used these to make a completely from-scratch green bean casserole several weeks ago, and even all the kids enjoyed it.
