@manton How'd you like it? This book actually broke me and I had a hard time getting back into reading because nothing was it. Kristen Cashore's Graceling broke through the reading block.

@kimberlyhirsh I went into it without any expectations, and I think it caught me off guard that almost the entire book is backstory... I really enjoyed it, but also feel like I need to read the next book in the series to get the full picture of where all this is going. 🙂

@manton fair warning-- the next book is also all backstory. They're both really good, but Rothfuss is nowhere near catching up to "now"-- which may be an intentional subversion, but important I think to not feel disappointed. Also, the short book/novella, The Slow Regard of Silent Things is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. I can't honestly remember if you need to read the second book before that one.

@jsonbecker Slow Regard is the best of the three, IMO (been several years so I am fuzzy on plot details for other two books)

@jsonbecker I'm looking forward to The Slow Regard of Silent Things. Auri seems like a great character who we only got a little glimpse of in the first book.
