@Ron @paulopinto Have any of you ever been in contact with LA8PV from Norway? The call sign was used in the Norwegian comedy show “Fleksnes” in 1976, so the communications authorities reserved it, but by a glitch, it got handed to a man from Molde, Norway. He later changed his call sign.
@odd I don't think I have, but I don't have a complete log going back to 1960. But that's a cool story! I wonder whether the guy knew that he had acquired a "famous" call sign. 😃
@odd Very interesting. I wonder whether he had to go to a six character call because he couldn't get a five character call or he just didn't like any of the available five character calls.
