Chaos Walking (2021) is a travesty. The trilogy by Patrick Ness is some of the best fiction I have ever read; to say I was disappointed by the film is a massive understatement. The plot barely hangs together without the broader context of the later books. Terrible ending.
@adoran2 Wow. By chance I picked up the first book in our school library recently and then discovered there's a film. Disappointing that the film isn't any good!
@Omrrc My kids got me into the trilogy. As soon as I finished one book I couldn’t wait to pick up the next one. Wonderful. Such a shame the film is a shambles.
@adoran2 Hi again, just finished the second book and just picked up the third! I don't think I'm going to watch the film, I don't know. I feel the same about Rivers of London. A set of books I LOVE but am terrified about being made into a tv programme.
