In an effort to be less reliant on my iPhone, and to improve my morning routine by not having my phone wake up, I’ve bought myself an alarm clock. It’ll sit on the drawers opposite my bed so I’ll have to get up to turn it off. The best thing about it? No glowing.

@philbowell it’s interesting as the phone consolidated all our tools into one, no pager, no camera, no fax, no MP3 player, no video player ... there seems to be an accelerating desire to break It all apart again ... alarm clocks, turntables, specific book readers, watches .....

@JohnPhilpin it’s interesting isn’t it? How we wrestle with the utility of technology and the effects it has on our lives. For me I need to experiment with not having an alarm that can be snoozed.
