@JMaxB Argh, don't subscribe to The Economist unless you plan to stay subscribed until you die, then leave the subscription to your heirs. I just spent part of my day trying to cancel my subscription. The only way is to connect with a "live chat" person or bot who tries to argue you out of your decision. I still don't know if I've canceled.

@JMaxB Thank you for the warning! I was actually considering a subscription. I remember my wrestle with NYT when I quit that subscription.

@JMaxB Yup. It’s an annoying hoop to jump through. Last time, I declined to provide a reason and I told them I was unlikely to resubscribe until they changed this practice.

@JMaxB Same here with NYTimes. That experience is why I don't subscribe to other publications.

@JMaxB I cancelled mine with the greatest regret because deliveries to Italy were so erratic. And I would gladly have paid less for online only, but at the time, and perhaps still now, that was not an option.
