@jeremycherfas I just read a long article on pockets and was interested the whole time. Thanks. When my son was a teen he claimed to be the only person who used the pockets in his cargo pants. Doing that probably works as well as the author's more elegant design, if you're willing to be uncool.
@jeremycherfas This is where my favorites pants-maker (Kuhl) puts pockets! (not on all the pairs, mind you, just some designs)

@toddgrotenhuis I didn't know that. I have a Kuhl outer shell and fleeces, but have never tried the trousers. Will have to look for them next time I’m in the market.
