@Gaby I'm totally in the same boat. I'm trying out Ghost again, and it's great, but ultimately, I want one blog and I have to choose which tool. Every time I come back to M.b. We'll see how I feel when the Ghost trial runs out in a few days, but yet again I'm leaning towards M.b. for hosting.

@Gaby Well, experimenting is fun. Even when it doesn't stick!

@Cheri it was definitely a good experiment. But let’s not do it again 😅

@Gaby previous Ghost user here :) Have you come across Write. As? It looks like they support tags, I believe they are 'default' on all themes too. It's currently the platform I use for my long-form blog.

@Gaby Same conflicts here and now I’m now even considering Ulysses 🤫. BTW Blot does tags and can have a ‘On This Day’ feature but yeah, no editor experience like I heard Ghost has.

@Gaby Even I recently consolidated everything (mainly from Ghost) onto Micro.blog. It's good to have a single place to go to.

@Gaby Interesting you’re using Grammerly with Ulysses, which has many of the same proofreading features. Any reason you’re doing this? And have you used Grammerly with Drafts?

As to your main point, I’ve dabbled with other services as well, namely Squarespace and Wordpress, but always find myself wanting one thing that does everything. Micro.blog has become my FB, Twitter, and Instagram, and I love that about it.

@pratik i did consider Blot, but I don’t want to have to worry about storage space, as it uses Dropbox

@Gaby Yeah, that’s one ding against Blot which unfortunately is beyond their control.

@skoobz Well, with Ulysses I am using their revision mode feature that works just like grammarly but I think is still not as good. Drafts, I didn’t know you could use grammarly with. Whenever I sue grammarly is when I am composing posts at my work computer, using whatever web browser editor as grammarly is integrated with the browser.

@Gaby Yeah, they have a keyboard that can be used on iOS/iPadOS, which I used to use to run grammer checks and such.

@skoobz oh, I had forgotten about that.

@Gaby We’re all guilty 😊 At the moment I’m also struggling to find a use for Ghost AND Write.as 😊 M.b is just great, it’s hard to find a reason to use anything else, no matter how tempting that might be.

@maique true! I think I’ll just stick to this space.

@Gaby I have tried WordPress, Squarespace, Ghost, Blot and others. Honestly I’m not sure what if anything I want to do. I sometimes feel blogging is passé and I don’t want to start a podcast or start creating videos.
