@ayjay @maique @odd With each passing year we'll look back at previous years and wish for the "cooler" weather. It's increasingly easy to imagine what living on a hotter planet will actually translate into in terms of the impact on our daily lives. It's only going to get worse. 🥵🔥😟

@Denny @odd @ayjay @maique I just read that retirees are smartly “cooling” (sad pun) on Arizona as a place to move. Really, there will be soon be water shortages in AZ, TX, NV and more.

@Pilchuck @odd @ayjay @maique - Yep. Lots of shortages. A recent episode of The Daily podcast covered it: Utah's Environmental Nuclear Bomb As did VOX on a recent episode about California Then there's this article about Lake Mead Dropping from NASA Earth Observatory

What I find striking is that there are still people that think that somehow these things won't contiune to get worse. The above linked discussions on the various droughts are perfect examples of people just wishing for the problem to go away and that includes fairly high level government officals that just are not planning properly because they fear it will be politically unpopular. So, it would seed the plan is to just keep moving forward like zombies, unable to think or repsond, just a shambling forward until we can't.

@Denny @pilchuck @ayjay @maique The former president may have had good reason to want to «buy Greenland». 💧
