In which a company that helped make URLs obtuse and unreadable decides that URLs are too obtuse and unreadable and ought to be replaced 🤔

@simonwoods @eli Only the web. Because it’s not like URLs aren’t one of the 3 fundamental building blocks of the web (HTTP, HTML, URL), right?

You know what doesn’t need URLs? (Web-ish) silos and places where people don’t create, but only consume. Because, you know, if you want to link to something (even another page on your own website), you need a URL, and I don’t know how you replace that (at least not with something that’s not more complex than URLs).
